The Sleep Sense™ Method, created by Dana Obleman in 2003, has already helped thousands of parents just like you teach their children healthy sleep habits. It was my strong belief in Dana’s system that inspired me to become a professional sleep consultant, and I look forward to helping you and your family achieve the same results that my recent clients have been enjoying. Here are some letters from them:

Leslie truly gave our entire family the gift of sleep!  Making the decision to do sleep training can be a scary one, but one meeting with Leslie gave me the confidence I needed to commit to helping our baby sleep.  After 2 weeks, our baby not only sleeps 12 hours straight at night, but she also naps during the day, no problem.  She gets the sleep she needs and my husband and I have our evenings back to enjoy conversations, do chores, and EAT!  We are all well rested and happier as a result.  I highly recommend A Kiss Goodnight to any family that isn’t getting the quality sleep we all need to function and enjoy life to its fullest.

Prior to Leslie, I was nursing my daughter to sleep at night and she wasn’t napping well during the day. Sometimes she would only nap for 20 minutes at a time. Often I would have to take her into my bed and force her to sleep by nursing her – so nice at first! But soon it became the only way s…he would nap! As a first time mother I started questioning what was really best for my child, my family and myself. Everyone seemed to have different advice about what I should do regarding our daytime sleep issues. Because Hannah slept so well at night, most people told me I should be happy with that and get over her not napping. But Leslie made me feel like my desire to improve her daytime sleep was not selfish or ridiculous! Before I started with Leslie I was feeling so drained and frustrated with Hannah’s poor nap routine, Leslie gave me back control of a battle I was losing. She also gave me confidence and the tools to create a happy and safe sleep environment for Hannah. Leslie was personable and understanding and she made me feel like my goals were in sight. When Hannah’s nap length shortened she helped me figure out a resolution and a plan of action. I would recommend Leslie and A Kiss Goodnight to anyone who is struggling with sleep issues – large or small! Thanks again!

Emerson

From the moment I spoke with Leslie on the phone, I knew that she was going to be able to help my exhausted husband and I get our 2 year old daughter, Emerson, to sleep! Since she was born we had good and bad sleep cycles with her, but as she got older we realized that it was important to have proper techniques and a consistent routine. Like most parents, we had read the books, the magazine articles, and all of the mommy blogs about different sleep techniques. When we would talk to other parents, they would suggest the method that had worked for their little ones. However, with each child being so unique, and each family schedule and setting so different, it is no wonder that none of these methods fit into our lifestyle nor worked successfully. We were at the end of our ropes and desperate for some guidance.

Knowing that Leslie had 2 children, both a toddler and a baby and that they were both excellent nappers and sleepers gave me faith that she knew what she was doing.

Leslie arranged a time that was convenient for my husband and I to meet with her and she came to our home to outline the program. She emailed us a questionnaire to fill out in advance so that she could come well prepared. When we met, Leslie listened to our stories of bedtimes gone awry and she had an answer for every question we posed. She was both realistic and optimistic that we could do this! Leslie laid out an easy to follow 10 day program and gave us instructions in writing to keep. She told us it was up to us to decide when to start, and we were ready to start immediately. That night was the hardest, but Leslie emailed late at night to check how things went. She called the following morning and we went through the events of the night before. She gave us guidance on how to proceed that afternoon and evening. The process was simple, but our willpower to follow through definitely waned, and had it not been for Leslie’s consistent contact and encouragement, we might have given up. The first night that Emerson went to sleep before the 3rd song on the bedtime cd we were in shock, surely it was too good to be true? In the morning we wondered: had we actually had a full night of sleep without being woken by our “bad sleeper”? We could get used to this! We finished the program before our family vacation to Hawaii and enjoyed our evenings sipping wine on the lanai instead of trying to get our baby to sleep.

We are so grateful for Leslie and A Kiss Goodnight. She provided us with the tools to help teach our daughter how to sleep on her own. Now, we have not just a well rested toddler, but a well rested mommy and daddy which makes for a happy household. We strongly encourage any parents with bedtime challenges to seek Leslie’s help, you will wish you made the call earlier!
